The Kindergarten Fine Motor Workstation was a resounding success, filled with excitement and anticipation.
Children and parents participated in scheduled slots, engaging in various activities designed to:
– Improve hand strength and coordination
– Develop precision grip and finger isolation
– Enhance eye-hand coordination
The activities included in the Fine Motor Workstation are:
1. Placing buttons
2. Grinding fried gram
3. Freehand drawing
4. Connecting dots
5. Changing pillow covers
6. Paper punching
7. Matching Rubber band with their colours.
8. Stacking sponge
9. Paper cutting with safety scissor
10. Pom-pom squeezing
11. Pattern tracing
12. Transferring ring from one cone to another
13. Nut and bolt
14. Winding unwinding yarn
15. Paper cup ball transfer
16. Muffin tray – colour sorting
17. Rescue animal
The “Learning Home Station” showcased simple, hands-on activities using household items, empowering parents to support fine motor development at home.
Overall, the event celebrated developmental milestones, strengthened home-school connections, and showcased our young learners’ growing independence and fine motor skills.
