Programme Name : Pre – Kg Shape Day

Understanding shape is an essential tool to learn many skills. Prasan Vidya Bala Mandir kindergarten celebrated shape day celebration for the students of pre-kg with the aim of introducing knowledge of shapes. Fun days with shapes were celebrated from 27th August – 30th August 2018.

We dedicated a whole day for doing activities related to a shape (such as circle day, square day, triangle day and rectangle day).

The theme is planned to enable the children to identify the shapes. We spoke about shapes during circle time, encouraged children to recognize shape related objects, pictures and also they sang rhymes on shapes. Children were eager to participate in activities such as bud pasting on the shapes and making shape house using colour papers. To further reinforce the concept children were encouraged to walk on a shape outline on the floor. The little ones enjoyed their days and learned about shapes in their own ways.
