The vibrant festival of Pongal was celebrated with great enthusiasm at our PVBM School, creating an atmosphere of joy and cultural richness among the little ones. The event aimed to familiarize the kindergarten students with the traditions and customs associated with Pongal, fostering a sense of cultural awareness. Our school premises were adorned with colorful rangoli, traditional Pongal pots, and festive decorations, creating a visually appealing ambiance. To enhance the cultural experience, students and teachers were encouraged to dress in traditional attire.
Various cultural activities were organized to engage the students and instill a sense of the festival’s significance. As part of our Pongal celebration , a touching and creative activity unfolded as children immersed themselves in making postcard wishes. Children participated in drawing and coloring activities related to Pongal, showcasing their creativity and artistic skills. Traditional kumi song and dances were also performed, bringing forth the cultural spirit of the festival. Children enjoyed playing spinning top, hopscotch and musical chair The Pongal celebration was a delightful experience for our kids. The celebration successfully instilled a sense of cultural pride and unity, creating lasting memories for the young minds in our School.
