Get your child to love books – Workshop for parents
The session began with warm – up activity – The participants were asked to
read the unfamiliar word “Shaishavam” then and there when the slide was
displayed to make the parents aware of reading skill.
Seven fun rules were presented.
Establish a reading – friendly environment for their children at home.
Strategies on handling the books were elucidated.

Small demonstrations, video clips of English Reading Programme – Story
Learning Experiences were witnessed by the parents.
Significance of sight words was briefed with small video clips and examples.
Parents experienced a fruitful session on how to boost their kids in reading
with the sense of joy and excitement.
